First off Amy Adams is a brilliant actress for two reasons: one she can act, and two, she's not afraid to say the truth, especially pertaining to stereotypes. About Female actresses having a shelf life and male actors not having to worry about that is one of the sad realities of theater. In film especially, a good actor doesn't have to be extremely skinny with perfect hair and flawless skin, but an access does. The issue being that those traits don't last forever. But is there any what to change something that is so heavily ingrained in our society? Also, if you look at all the actress, they fit the media stereotype.

Articles like this are really fascinating because it really gives these celebrities humanity. Hearing Sally Field, who has been a household name since The Flying Nun, have doubts is comforting. She even comments on how the paparazzi change stories. Any Adams questioning her "shelf life" is saddening but her acknowledging that this may not be a lifetime career grounds her. Anne Hathaway makes time to read non-fiction literature. Giving this wholesome and human dimension to performers is nice when there is so much media about how above other people they seem.
