Woman sentenced for union embezzlement
89.3 KPCC: "U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ordered Teresa Cora Luna to spend an additional five months in a less-restrictive lockup so that she will have more access to her children and be able to transition back into society more effectively. The 35-year-old had faced up to five years in federal prison."

I know people are strapped for cash but this just seems ridiculous. Especially given how many times she forged checks. The other part of this is that economic times are hard enough and now she is stealing from a Union that tries to help its employees get as much work as they can despite the financial crisis. I know a lot of people have pride issues but why not ask for help? I am sure people would have been more than willing to help her. I just don't understand this type of behavior especially when it takes money away from hard working people. I have a feeling a trial will not go well for her.
