Playbill News: "Broadway's Music Box Theatre, which opened Sept. 22, 1921, with the first Music Box Revue, was built by producer Sam H. Harris — of the Shubert Organization — and famed composer Irving Berlin.
For years the late composer's estate co-owned the theatre with the Shubert Organization. The New York Post reports that Berlin's three daughters — Mary Ellin Barrett, Linda Emmett and Elizabeth Peters — recently sold their portion of the Music Box to the Shuberts."
