Ending tax burden should help arts blossom

The government should realize that the public benefits provided by artistic organizations far outweigh the financial benefits gained by taxing them.
On the scale of a city this big, I can't imagine half of a million dollars being a remarkable loss for the government. But 1.5% of annual budget certainly would have an effect on the organizations. I think the fact is that with the number of arts organizations being small, and few of them having a lot of money, this tax is nearly inconsequential to the city.
