Modelmaking Made Easy: A Foamboard Rabbet Cutter
Toolmonger: "Any foam-core modeler will tell you that it’s important to make a corner that looks flawless so you can easily paint it and finish it out. A good way to do that is to use a rabbet cut — a notch cut along the length of the edge in question — to mate the two pieces. The bad news? Cutting rabbets in foamboard is a pain — unless you’ve got a foamboard rabbet cutter like this one."

I wrote this down and plan on buying one of these very soon. While I don't do too much model making, this looks like an excellent, cheap tool. Sometimes the traditional cutting w/ an exacto knife and cutting board just doesn't cut it well(no pun intended). Thanks David.
We used these last night at the model making workshop. It was quite usefully, although a 2-sided blade would have saved some pain getting big boards oriented properly for cutting. Patrick Said it cost him more like $20 or $30. I wonder if toolmonger is underestimating or if Patrick's store had a 200% markup?
Maybe Patrick should read News from the Real World.
