Bulbtronics Goes Universally Green
Live Design: "Bulbtronics Inc. has announced a recycling initiative with RecyclePak from Veolia Environmental Services. Bulbtronics is promoting a packaged, pre-paid recycling program to all its customers enabling them to comply with state and local laws for the proper and safe disposal of universal wastes such as bulbs, batteries and ballasts that contain mercury and other hazardous materials."

I always enjoy hearing about the efforts made to further our capabilities to recycle as waste seems to be all too common with some products that could have better uses derived out of them or their parts. There are some questions that I wonder about as recycling materials that contact hazardous substances has some risk to it. I would wonder if its efficient to recycle these materials in terms of what would have to be done to prepare and clean them. Sometimes it takes great amounts of energy and resources to undergo such tasks, although I doubt that it is inefficient at all. The biggest question that I am most concerned about is if it will catch on enough. I hope the companies and the governments involved make efforts to make the public aware of its existence and encourage its use. Anyway, I like it and I would encourage it.
