Illumina Digital to bring Second Life digital characters to stage
The Stage: "In the stage show, human actors will play those people he knew in real life, whereas digital characters will be used to represent those who he interacted with online. It will use technology from virtual reality company Total Immersion to bring the digital characters to life on stage."

I believe that this use of multimedia is quite interesting and creating digital characters is a much more encompassing way of different areas. I think that this might be the next frontier of theatre as we try to encompass the technological era which we are coming upon. However, the question is will the performance be as effective as we go into world with non human characters.
