Wacom Inkling May Become My Favorite Gadget of All Time
Gizmodo: Being an obsessive compulsive sketching bastard, I'm all shades of erect looking at the new Wacom Inkling. With an exquisite design and 1024 levels of pressure, it looks like the perfect device for anyone who sketches anything, from illustrators to architects.

After working with a Wacom Bamboo for Project Paperless last year, I've been looking into both ink-to-digital and standard tablet solutions as a way of digitizing class notes and translating legal pads from nights of tech into manageable digital documents. The Inkling is among the less expensive options, but I really like the ability to put it on any paper (as opposed to solutions like Livescribe that require their own paper), but it's not likely that this could work with paper clipped to a clipboard (which would really make it worth doing for me). I also can't find any indication whether it can be enabled for OCR. As more info comes out, we'll see if this turns out to be a good solution.
