Disney's new Rise of the Resistance tops all theme park rides
www.themeparkinsider.com: With four ride systems, enough projections and Pepper's Ghosts to fill the Haunted Mansion, and a 20-minute overall experience time, Rise is as stuffed as Jabba the Hutt. Walt Disney Imagineering attempted to create the most technological advanced attraction in theme park history here, and not only did they succeed, they created a visually stunning experience that will overwhelm every casual Star Wars fans.

I am myself a big, big Star Wars series fan. But in this article I found myself not only looking at the story and splendid representation of the scene in the movies, but also I am wondering what is the mechanics and technology they use to create such an experiences. From my point of view, the main reason that this newly opened experience made such a big hit is that the creative team took advantage of using new technology and putting better use of the larger budget. I am not just saying they dump money and magically made it good. Several scenes that involve larger space is not only built huge, but also detailed. The effort spent on turning the camera view into a real space is enormous, and the team really pulled it off brilliantly. For example the hanger scene, the space is larger than any ride I have ever seen, but not only they put models in, the also automated the trooper to make them look like real figure. This is such a good example of a high budget project, since we can definitely see where they spent the money on.
