Dance review: Attack Theatre takes audiences into children's imaginations in 'Remainder | Northside'

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Attack Theatre knows a thing or two about tapping into the pedestrian and making it performance worthy. Its latest creation, “Remainder | Northside,” which premiered Friday night at the New Hazlett Theater, is no exception.

As its title suggests, dancers’ muse was the people and places of Pittsburgh’s North Side. But this was no tribute to the landmarks and stadiums the neighborhood is known for. Instead, Attack dancers, under the direction of co-artistic directors Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza, spent 18 months engaging with children in North Side schools and youth groups, asking them about their lives, memories and aspirations.
