Here's How They Get Models' Hair to Flip Around in Shampoo Ads

jezebel.com: Turns out, there are people whose jobs it is to wear green outfits and make things move on actors in scenes, only to be erased in post-production. These people are called "greenscreen fluffers" and they're everywhere, and they're nowhere.

However terrifying the pictures from this article may be, when looking at it on a sincere level, it shouldn’t surprise anyone whatsoever. Any industry that survives off of aesthetic pleasure should not be expected to have everything be completely “natural” in an advertisement. I’m not saying that this manipulation of what’s natural is right, but I’m not saying it’s wrong either. The article itself doesn’t really focus on the social implications of creating a “fake person,” as many do, and instead chooses to focus on the strange men wearing green gimpsuits in the background of a photo shoot. Although humorous, I was expecting a bit more focus on who come people may find this controversial, possibly including a snide comment or two to lighten the mood and still keep the article comical but meaningful. All this being said, the topic itself is pretty funny, so it can get a free pass for now.
