Stage Directors and Choreographers Elect Executive Board Members
Stage Directions: The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society held executive board elections at their annual membership meeting Nov. 18. Susan H. Schulman was elected president and John Rando was elected executive vice president. A Tony-nominated director (for the Sweeney Todd revival at Circle in the Square), Schulman was first elected to the SDC Board in 1990 serving as Executive Vice President from 1992-1996. During her tenure she co-chaired Broadway negotiations multiple times and chairs the Union’s Committee on International Artists. Rando was elected to the SDC executive board in 2011. His Broadway credits include A Christmas Story, The Musical; Urinetown, The Musical (Tony Award and Outer Critic’s Circle Award for direction); The Wedding Singer; A Thousand Clowns; Dance Of The Vampires; and Neil Simon's The Dinner Party.
