2012 Tony Award nominations

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Nominations for the 2012 Tony Awards were announced today, with the musical "Once" leading the way with 11 nominations, followed by "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" and Kathleen Marshall's "Nice Work If You Can Get It" with 10. "Peter and the Starcatcher" is the most nominated play with nine.
Among the nominees with local ties, Fox Chapel's Christian Borle is nominated for best performance by an actor in a featured role in a play for "Peter and the Starcatcher." Among the competition is cinema's new Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, for "Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman."
