A butt? Really? People got offended because they were seeing a butt? Well first of all, if you're going to fine them for indecency, at least have the courtesy not to call a butt a sex organ. I mean really, what kind of babies are you making people at the FCC? And the argument that they got a bunch of letters about it and that makes it indecent? It seems to me that they should have a better defined scale of indecency than, our mailbox was full, and therefor it must be against our rules.
The FCC's rules on what is or isn't indecent seem a bit too harsh, and it seems as if they are making a big deal about something that doesn't seem like much of a problem. On the other side, however, was there any need for the offending shot to be included in the show? I would find it unlikely that no one in the production staff knew the FCC's rules, and changing the content so it isn't "indecent" according to the FCC wouldn't be very hard.

What I think is funniest is that this decision has only now been reached concerning an episode of a series that hasn't been on the air in years.
And honestly, if you are that worried about your kid seeing a little booty, sit down with them and watch a little wholesome TV rather than NYPD Blue.
