It's too bad he didn't address why the studio didn't ask him back to write Half-Blood Prince. It's interesting to see him discuss some of the story decisions made in the film when the film's script was considered lackluster by many (myself included). Many of the things mentioned in this article were not brought across very well in the movie, including the use of James Potter in the movie.

I agree with Tim in saying that almost all the avid Harry Potter readers I know are consistently displeased with Goldenberg's screen translation. Though I did find it interesting that he made a lot of parallels to how we approach design in the theatre. He says "What's it about, and then what's it really about," which is something Dick asks us time and time again. It seems like a simple principle but I always like to see the connections between the processes of different art forms.
