Chris McGurk - Overture Films
New York Times: "The business plan calls for making movies for less than $30 million in most cases, and holding Overture’s share of production costs to $10 million or $15 million by selling foreign rights or taking on partners. Mr. McGurk said that at MGM, over six straight years its movies in the under-$30 million range averaged nearly 30 percent profits — though roughly a third lost money — because of hits like “Legally Blonde” and “Barbershop.”"
