Carnegie Mellon's College of Fine Arts Announcement:

Students from the Design and Social Change class will present creations of desirable things made from trash in an exhibit titled "Reduce, Reuse" at Pittsburgh's Construction Junction. The exhibit will run from Saturday, April 28 to Wednesday, May 30, 2007.

Proceeds from the sale of the student work will benefit Construction Junction, the city's only non-profit recycled building materials retailer.
Construction Junction is located in Point Breeze at 214 N. Lexington St, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.

5th Year Architecture show, entitled Reproduction Terminal Building Bay 33 6th floor

Carnegie Mellon¹s Solar Decathlon

The campus community is invited to join Carnegie Mellon¹s Solar Decathlon team for a campus wide kick-off event Friday May 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the 2005 Solar Decathlon house in the Donner Dell next to the Margaret Morrison building. The kick-off will include food and drinks, in addition, visitors will be able to view the model of the 2007 home and other information about the Solar Decathlon event. Hosted by the Department of Energy, the Solar Decathlon event will be held this October on the Mall in Washington D.C.

The Regina Gouger Miller Gallery at Carnegie Mellon presents the 2007 School of Art Senior Exhibition, To Get To The Other Side. The gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, May 11 from 5:00 p.m. ­ 8:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.

The exhibition contains a wide variety of work from 32 graduating students.
Work will include drawing, painting, sculpture, video, projections, performance and multi-media work. John Carson, head of the School of Art, describes this group of students as ³mightily talented and enterprising and rip-roaring ready for the challenges of the world at the other side of art school.²

To Get To The Other Side runs from May 11 ­ May 20, 2007. Gallery hours are
11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. The Regina Gouger Miller
Gallery is located on the Carnegie Mellon campus. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m.­5 p.m. Tuesday­Sunday. Visitor parking is available in the East Campus Parking Garage, located on Forbes Avenue just east of the Morewood Avenue intersection.
