More Showbiz Jobs Move To Louisiana

Deadline.com: "Pixel Magic today announced a new digital media studio at LITE in Lafayette. It could create 40 direct new jobs in 3 years. 'Pixel Magic is a great example of the kind of companies we hoped to position Louisiana to secure when we strengthened Louisiana's film production and digital interactive media tax credits during the last legislative session,' said Gov. Bobby Jindal."

When I think of media and entertainment, my first thought is not Louisiana; its nyc, la, and now, pittsburgh. I find it interesting that the governor would want to push for a tax credit for media and entertainment and try to attract those markets to that state. Being that Louisiana is on the water, has Mississippi river running through it, and is known for so many other things to do with the water, i am surprised they would go for this venture. Then again if you are going to make it cheap for the studio, then they will come your way, and a job is a job...
