Makita Cordless Track Saw Review: 18V X2 LXT XPS01
PTR: I am old enough to have been around when the first battery-powered tools came on the market. To classify the early ones as tools may be stretching the imagination a bit, but I digress. The cordless industry has come a lonnnnnnng way since then and I now have quite a few cordless tools in my arsenal. At the moment, I’m considering if the Makita cordless track saw has a place in my shop.

Whenever I come across a makita tool review, I am always somewhat impressed with how that company is developing. For the longest time, I always thought of makita as the walmart brand of tools and generally went with milwaukee. That being said, Pro Tools really seemed to like their new cordless track saw. I really appreciated to see that Makita had put a big enough motor in their cordless saw so that the power output was able to match the corded saw. Track saws are really my go to tool whenever I find myself thinking too hard about how to cut a piece of lumber. While I feel like I have been spoiled with the FesTool track saw, it is corded which is really a big inconvenience occasionally. Finally, I was impressed with the bevel angle that the makita track saw is able to achieve. I always love finding new tools that I will run across in the field and see how they all compare.
