Variety: They’re beautiful. They’re glamorous. And they’re often spotted in their natural habitat: studio backlots or on location.
No, we’re not talking about movie stars but about something dear to their hearts — those ultra-luxury trailers that function as cushy homes-away-from-home and can double as offices, conference rooms, gyms, day-care centers, and rehearsal spaces.

Oh my gosh this is so cool! I had no idea this was an industry, and it makes so much sense. I cannot imagine what it must be like to work for a company like Quixote. I am absolutely enamored with the idea of the amazing decked out custom trailers they must of designed for the A list celebrities. I'm sure on a long filming movie, a trailer would be the perfect thing to have as a constant. What I did not like about the article was the fact that they had no pictures!! I was really interested so I went to the website and found all the different kinds of trailers they make. It is so fascinating. One that was very unexpected, but I guess necessary, they had school trailers. I never realized that there are so many films with minors in it that a production would actually need to rent a school trailer. It was so interesting to see the layout of the the spaces. It was a lot like Tiny Homes on HGTV.
What an amazing idea. It never occurred to me how important a trailer can be for an actor. I understand after thinking about it that it really is hard working for so long away from home at all sorts of hours. Im sure that a lot of these actors are used to a certain lifestyle so it makes sense that some are seeking out specifically customized ones that fit their needs exactly. It is also refreshing to see the company has an interest in keeping green. the amount of waste used in the film industry must be astronomical therefore every little bit counts im sure. balancing that with making these comfortable and homely for actors really must be trickery. they are essentially creating another home for the actors and it needs to be a place that they can relax, work, and play. it serves the same function a home would.
I think this is awesome. I especially love how eco-conscious this particular business is. I al always for ways to make out industry greener, I remember reading about efforts on Broadway a few months ago and being really surprised by the amount of waste we produce and energy we consume. I never thought about how custom some of these might have to be, especially the point about day cares or providing a separate room for an actress's daughter. I never realized how much time they spend, basically living, in strange shoot locations with none of their usual amenities or comforts. Especially roles that are emotionally trying ro draining, I imagine having a custom space to be in after that is very important. I think the added point about the studio space combo that company does was a little thrown into this article, but that is also a really good idea as it lessens the hassle for producers in general.
