Although this hearing could seriously affect the entertainment industry, and many other industry, I feel it could be beneficial to interns all over and to our youth as they look for internships. As internships have been growing exponentially I feel that how they are actually regulated or defined has not grown with them equally. Ensuring that an internship meets requirements does need to be enforced more. This might not mean that it should be a burden to employers, but interns should be treated equally. I hope that this hearing will have a positive outcome for interns, without a detrimental cost to employers, as both groups of individuals need to better understand their position.
