However, you never want to be scary in your job search. With the job market as tough as it is right now, scaring away a valuable networking contact or employer is something you simply don’t want to do.

These are good, if somewhat obvious, tips. I think any typo is the biggest red flag. It says that you can't edit, or didn't spend much time revising your resume, so either you're a slacker or you just don't care. Neither would make for a good employee.
About the multiple pages thing, the career center says that the general rule is your resume shouldn't be over a page long while you're an undergrad.
