PRODUCTION MANAGER AND SCENIC DESIGNER – Career staff position, starts 9-1-2012, $48,678- $99,610, full benefits.  Position plans and supervises the general operations of the undergraduate production & film programs of the department including scheduling, budgeting, supervision of staff, stage management & oversight for front of house, box office & publicity; designs scenery for two to three productions per season; the position may also teach appropriate classes as a part of the work load; design in other areas as appropriate.  The department wants to produce a short film in lieu of one production each season, and candidate must be capable of planning and launching this project.   This is a salaried position but some overtime can be expected.  Applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted to submit a Design Portfolio.  Required:  Bachelor degree with a major in theatre/film and five years of experience related to production management, scenic design and film, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge and abilities essential for the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.  Preferred:  M.F.A. in scenic design/film, professional production management, scenic design and film experience, four years of university-level teaching experience.  Apply online only:  http//jobs.ucr.edu.  Open until filled.
