Producer of Ray Charles Musical Sues Investor for $20 Million
backstage.com: "'Jersey Boys,' the Broadway musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, is a big hit. Why not a production based on the life of Ray Charles? After all, 'Ray' won Jamie Foxx an Oscar in 2005. It turns out that Oscar-nominated 'Ray' producer Stuart Benjamin was planning such a Broadway show earlier this year, but he claims in a new lawsuit that his primary investor committed fraud.
