TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - The nationally recognized Alley Theatre (LORT B and C) seeks an experienced Technical Director to manage all aspects of scenery construction and the coordination of technical elements. The Alley Theatre annually produces a minimum of 9 shows in two spaces and the full time shop staff consists of 13, including 2 Assistant TDs, a charge scenic, a shop foreman and a lead carpenter. The Alley's Center for Theatre Production houses an amazing state-of-the-art shop and production offices and was built out in 2001. We are in the planning phase for stage house renovations and the TD will be actively involved in the process. The right candidate will be passionate about theatre production, technology, and supporting the artistic vision of designers and directors as it relates to the realization of scenic design. A minimum of five years of LORT or similar experience is required. Full benefits package includes vacation, family health and dental insurance contributions, and a 401K match.
