West End actors ready to walk out over pay
The Stage: "The trade union is currently pushing for the existing basic pay rate for actors working in the West End to increase from £381 per week to £550. A new second minimum wage of £650 is also being sought for performers who are required to work on Sundays."

One of the little things that I like about this article was the small insight on days past and how the union helps. For example, not being paid for rehearsals. It's interesting to see how far we've come so we can truly appreciate what we have in front of us. What hits me most about this articl is it's positive outlook on the actors as a community. The solidarity could prove a strong force in the negotiations. With a changing economy it's about time the london theaters sought change.
