Rosco Donates Proceeds to Behind the Scenes
Stage-directions: "The ESTA Foundation has announced that Rosco will donate the proceeds from the sales of Roscolux #359 Medium Violet to Behind the Scenes. While the color name remains the same, the Behind the Scenes logo will be added to the Roscolux swatch book slip sheet and marketing materials, making it easy to identify. Rosco will present a check to Behind the Scenes each year at the LDI Show."

Behind the Scenes sounds like a really intresting and useful company however why is it that Rosco donated the proceeds of R359 to them? I don't think Rosco has done this before... At least I don't think I've ever seen the icon for another company apart from Rosco in a gel booklet. This article doesn't really explain what happened either...maybe I'm missing something
It is nice to see that Rosco is making such a commitment to helping out Behind the Scenes. However, it would've been nice if this article explained why Rosco chose R359 -- is the color related to Behind the Scenes? According to Rosco's website, there are two other colors that go to charities -- R313 and R361, but the reasoning behind those colors is explained.
This is really a great thing I think. I'm not really sure what the reasoning behind the color is either, but I guess it is a cool idea to take one of many similar products and donate the proceeds from that particular one to a charity organization. I like that the entertainment world is such a little club, but no one outside of it is even aware that it exists. We're like a secret society.
