An Edge-of-Town Story as Simple as the Blues
New York Times: "JEZ BUTTERWORTH’S new play, “Parlour Song,” a darkly comic drama about a man, his wife and their cocksure next-door neighbor, received great reviews when it opened this month at the Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater. (Ben Brantley, writing in The New York Times, called it “smart and rueful.”) But you wouldn’t know it by asking the author."
