Pittsburgh Playhouse revisits classic kids' tales

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Playhouse Jr.'s adaption of 'Pinocchio' features some three dozen custom, handcrafted puppets from around the world, which look like a 'carnival of puppets,' says director Mark Staley. The cast of 12 performers animates many of the puppets, which range from marionettes to masks, and even 10-foot puppets. With the colorful stage setting, shadow effects and puppets comes the classic tale of the adventurous wooden puppet, who can't fib undetected because his nose grows."
