Okay - so the fact is that Marvel is putting up the money for the show, and it's an interesting idea. There really is no room for branding scalping or upsettedness over this. I agree that there is a problem with Marvel omitting heroes from DC, CrossGen, etc. But they are the ones putting up the money.

What is really fascinating is that this is a "science" exhibit. It is really sad that comic books - which are an art form in their own right - are scorned in the art world. Where is the museum exhibit showing the 1940s comics that were printed on flimsy paper and often done by immigrants from Nazi occupied Europe? Where is the exhibit that chronicles the changes in comic history - from those first comics to Superman to the Sandman - to Bone - to Frank Miller and Alan Moore.

I think that the world needs to just suck it up and accept that this is ART!

Personally I think it's great that orgnizations with ability are pulling together to make educational exhibits that are interesting, inlusive and innovative. Even if those organizations are multimillion dollar corporations who tend to choose display information that is particulalry relavant to their products, the fact they are getting people out there interested and excited about learning is great nontheless. Besides, as long as the exhibit is labelled in a biased way, then there i no problem in not giving all the information anout the subject matter. (Marvel, for instance only diplaying Marvel history and no other comic book's).
