To me, the worst ways to solve a problem are the avoidance and competing ones. If you avoid trouble, it will eventually exploit sooner than later. The competing way of solving things is not either useful because it creates lack of trust and resentment.
However, the harmonizing way is more difficult but in the long run it proves to be more effective.

I believe that avoidance and competing are not actually types of conflict management. That's not fixing the problem, it is adding to it.
