Tom Silverman is part of a team of American students who have created an organization that designs, implements and sustains development projects serving African refugee camps. This organization is called "FORGE" (Facilitating Opportunities for Refugee Growth and Empowerment). Tom has lived and worked in Zambia for the past two summers and is collaborating with students across the continent to provide advocacy for refugees. In this lecture, he will discuss FORGE, his experiences in Africa, the problems of refuges, and potentials for student entrepreneurship to address global social challenges. Do not miss it!
