Learn To Manage Your Anxiety And Stresses In Your Life
This article addresses a lot of the stresses that we experience in theatre, as far as deadlines and presentations go but I think it is too general to really be of help.
Reminding oneself of other stressful experiences that were handled well doesnt help one's mindset after three 14-15 hour days in a row and little to no sleep, which is something I'm sure everyone in the Purnell center will go through at least once in their time here. Maybe someone should write "A Layman's Guide to Managing Fear in the Theatre World".
It can be difficult to find solutions to problems that we have in common with the rest of the world because the circumstances are usually so different. We dont work nine to five, we dont have steady jobs, and our work is very intimate. It would be iteresting to ask the author what his thoughts are on irregular stressful situations.
