First I just want to say I admire them all so much and congrats on their awards. Ken Ludwig is such a talented playwright. My school did a production of his Shakespeare in Hollywood two years ago. It was absolutely hilarious and witty. Having done and studied A Midsummer Night's Dream before, it was a wonderful experience being able to understand all the little jokes Ludwig was inserting into the play through the plot of Shakespeare. You would think that it's just a simple comedy at first, but the chaos that Ludwig created at the end of the play was unforeseeable to anyone in the audience and the parallels he drew from the world of Shakespeare to the modern world was witty to extent where you can literally pee yourself laughing at all his jokes. I remember sitting backstage and listening the the nonstop laughter exploding in the audience. For me personally, I still laugh every time uncontrollably if even I had seen and heard these jokes a million times during rehearsal. It was one of the best shows we had ever done at our school, commented by a lot of people. I would love to see and do more work from Ken Ludwig in the future if I have an opportunity.
