Navigate Walt Disney World with a Nintendo DS

Boing Boing Gadgets: "A member of the WDW Magic forums discovered a pilot program being tested at Walt Disney World which will allow visitors to use their Nintendo DS as an interactive guide the park."

What a great idea! They should open this technology up to other devices such as PDAs and iPhones etc. This sure beats a paper map (with ink that rubs off when you get suntan lotion on it) or "Pal Mickey" the crappy stuffed Mickey Mouse that "talks" to guests in different places in the park. I like that Disney World seems to be embracing different technologies in a way that improves guest experiences (example: Fastpass)

I have been to Disney world too many times to count. I have the parks memorized and can navigate without any maps. Although I can do this, This is a cool idea that will allow kids to keep busy while waiting for rides. The only problem might be trying to get the kids off the DS to get on the rides.
