I recently saw Masquerade, and it was AWESOME!! I am a huge fan of immersive theatre, and this did not disappoint! This production is massive! I truly have no clue how they pull it off! Telly Leung was my Phantom, and he was incredible, and because Masquerade is immersive, I was within a few feet of him throughout the whole show which made his performance even more powerful. It seems like this creative team has carefully paid attention to every single detail, which is not something that we have to worry about in theatre because audiences are typically much further away from the elements of the production. I feel like they had a great mix of scenes where the audience could sit and stand, rather than having us stand for the entire time. I did think that the logistics were a bit confusing, especially with the dress code and everything but I think that this article explains everything nicely!
