What They're Wearing: Costume Designer Susan Tsu Outfits 'Young Americans' at the Public
onstagepittsburgh.com: Susan Tsu, the award-winning costume designer and Carnegie Mellon professor, had just administered a final exam when her face popped up in close-up, a Zoom call. You could hear the students bustling in the background.

We love an article about a CMU Professor. Through talking with Susan over the last semester I discovered that Susan Tsu was working on this production of “Young Americans”. Though this play appears to be more concrete and modern than most of Tsu’s work I am excited to see what she came up with. Though this show is taking place in Pittsburgh I unfortunately will not be able to see this production between finals and moving out of Pittsburgh. I am very excited to see reviews and production photos of this production. This cast is also notable small compared to othe shows Tsu has worked on such as Godspell. It is quite impressive that Tsu can ballanse both her work as a designer and professor at this time in her life. I love that Tsu got to do new work in her own backyard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am overall very excited to see what Susan creates in this new atmosphere of what seems to be based on just a “simple roadtrip”.
