'POP!' play targets scary Andy Warhol

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Andy Warhol was never one to leave reality alone, putting his own spin on portraits and soup cans and such. So it's no wonder that facts wouldn't do when writer Maggie-Kate Coleman and composer Anna K. Jacobs set out to create a musical about his life. Reams of research on the Pittsburgh native and the so-called superstars of his New York salon, The Factory, led to a single event in Mr. Warhol's life -- when he was the victim of a near-fatal shooting by a Factory regular -- to create "POP!," a musical whodunit that has its world premiere at City Theatre. How do you create a whodunit when the facts of the case are a Bing away?
