I am really excited to hear this. To this day the best show I have ever seen was an all female production of "The Taming of the Shrew" at The Globe in London. i think it was so good because the women's touch made it something different than it had been before but in a subtle way. Things were played slightly differently but at no time did I think "that's a woman playing a man" it was just so seamless. It is great to see women get the same opportunity with Wilson's work. They may find something great that no one else has thought of and that is inspiring.
I love shows with a strong female cast. Even though Wilson doesn't usually write plays with dominantly female casts, he does incorporate strong female characters who have a definite place in the play and an effect on the plot line. I enjoy the idea of twisting his work into something new and unique for the modern-day audience. I can't wait to see how this turns out!
