In Tony Nominations, Art and Commerce Duke It Out
NYTimes.com: Broadway producers banked more than ever this theater season that stars onstage would fill seats, and in many cases were proved right. On Tuesday, though, the 2010 Tony Award nominations drew a sharp distinction between commercial interests and artistic success, with recognition going to several shows with few, if any, stars and small audiences.
