Tony Nominees for Best Choreography

NYTimes.com: "YOU can have successful musicals without important choreography. But from the early 1920s to the early ’60s they often had both, and it can’t be just an accident that those years have left an abiding impression as the golden era of the stage musical. Forms of music related to ragtime, jazz and swing helped to make the musical irresistible, and those forms had dance potential — intricacy of rhythm — built in."
