Huge theater complex set for Beijing
Variety: "Theatergoers in the Chinese capital are hoping a giant entertainment project that will contain 32 theaters when construction is complete will rival the West End and Broadway, with some of the world's top musicals such as 'Fame' and 'The Lion King' running year-round."

Maybe its because I haven't been reading this blog for a long time, but I'm beginning to hear about theater and the arts skyrocketing in the East. First, Iraq, now China is suddenly reaching out to the artistic community. I'm really excited that China is going to be housing some of the biggest shows that have gone through our Broadway houses, and I'm even more excited to see what their community will come up with, and share with houses around the world.
