Touring shows top $1 billion

Variety: "Despite the sub-prime mortgage crisis and four-buck gas, the 2007-08 road season posted substantial gains over the prior year, bringing home more than $1 billion in revenues. According to figures compiled by the Broadway League, this season's road take was $1,000,066,000, up about 14% from last year's $935,000,000."
