AFTRA's Tentative Pact Brings Labor Issues into Focus

Backstage: "On May 28 at around 4 a.m. Pacific time, producers reached a tentative agreement on a new network prime-time television contract with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Six hours later, they resumed their second round of negotiations with the Screen Actors Guild on a new TV and film deal. Talks between the guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers broke off May 6, largely over new-media issues."
