Working in the Theatre's "Steppenwolf: From Chicago to Osage County" Debuts March 23

Playbill News: "The broadcast features interviews with Steppenwolf Theatre Company co-founder Jeff Perry and Steppenwolf ensemble members Laurie Metcalf, Amy Morton and Rondi Reed. The foursome discuss 'their formative years as a rebel theatre group in Chicago, what they did in those early years to attract audiences, how the ensemble has evolved, how Steppenwolf transformed from upstart to institution, the development of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, and the challenges that a New York success like August places on their work back home in Chicago.'"

After hearing Kevin Rigdon speak at the USITT conference, the story of Steppenwolf's rise to fame definitely seems like something that would make an interesting theatre piece. Listening to Kevin speak about the subject definitely held my interest over the 30 minutes that he spoke, so I feel that with 4 different points of view being brought into the picture, the story would only be made more interesting. It also helps expose one of the more important theatre companies in the US to a broader audience.
