That's amazing! The light's emission of Crystal LED creates are so natural like real star and sun lights and that the theatrical fixtures and exhibit lights are hardly able to make. What surprises me is Swarovski is not only doing traditional crystal business but also knows to connect the new technology to expand its business.
I think this is kind of ridiculous.. I mean sure why not make LEDs out of Swarovski Crystals but on the other hand WHY? I don't really understand why this is so crazy and cool in any sort of useful way. I feel like it's just another over-priced product that works under what it should or just as well as what we're already using. I just don't see the need.
Yay, it can be done, but I don’t think its something that should market to the masses. How about a diachronic glass filter instead? Stop creating the same things for more expensive tastes! Use your time for something new, using recyclable items or something.
I agree that it will get you a nice effect and it will be beautiful lights, but since they are swarovski crystal then must be pretty expensive. Swarovski crystals are expensive alone without lights in them. I don't see why we would buy expensive crystal when there probably is a less expensive way.
Wow this is wonderful, I've been looking for ages for something to light the ceiling of my yacht, since I don't think the true night sky is vibrant enough for my expense tastes as it is free to everyone. But seriously, I would assume this is the market they're looking at since I see no point to lining a perfectly good star drop with extra money, when it works fine as is...
the endless uses of Swarovski Crystals. it was only years ago the were on every girls cellphones and other accessories. I think the lighting effects of using these crystals are very innovative however and should be used carefully and esp not excessively.
Knowing the manufacturer I can venture to say that these will be quite expensive. I can't see these being much better than anything that we have on stage now, but I do see a high end home market for such a product. They would make great accent lights or fixture for bedrooms, but I think the effect would be lost on stage.
Brilliant. It's absolutely beautiful. This is the most attractive thing that I've ever seen done in the area of LEDs. And then this got me looking at their site for all of their other crystal lighting, and it's gorgeous. When I become rich (haha) every room in my house will be lit with crystals. Definitely a good decision.
most expensive gobo EVER!
these are nice ideas, but based on the pictures in the article, they aren't very powerful/need to be close to the target they are lighting
I will say it for probably not anywhere near the last time: I love LEDs. I mean, eventually all lights are going to have to be LEDs anyway, so it's nice to be updated on new innovations. Oh, and they're really pretty. :)
