'Nutcracker' makes memories for dancers, audience
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Seeing 'The Nutcracker' is a rite of childhood for many families, one that builds shared memories as it expands a child's horizons through an artistic fantasy told from a child's perspective."

Nutcracker was one of the first ballets I ever saw. I love Nutcracker, it's just the epitome of the Holiday season, along with Love Actually, Rudolph, and Mannheim Steamroller. I would love to see Nutcracker again someday. It's a good show.
Erin Halloran is a beautiful dancer for this role, and I would love to see this performance! When I was little I was in the Nutcracker every year, and I still remember my party chorography and clown dance. The high school that I went to later was where all the principal dancers came from because we all went to the same studio, and I remember standing in the back and practicing waltz of the flowers and snow with them. Now some of them are doing the Nutcracker in NYC. 'Tis crazy! I wanna be a ballerina....
Go see it!
From word of mouth, it's apparently a very dark and twisted version of the nutcracker, complete with elephants on tricycles and other strange things straight out of PT Barnum circus and Ripley's believe it or not. Regardless, it is a holiday classic, but what's great about it is the fact that it can be told in such a variety of ways and never get old, even with the same music and storyline...go!
Its interesting that I have actually never seen the Nutcracker. For some reason I never found myself wanting to see it because it appeared to be one of those ballet's that everyone had to see however now that I am older, I really want to see it and this one seems like just the one to see hopefully I will get to see it because this seems like a new twist on a classic.
