After a Brush-up Rehearsal, Broadway Actors Eager for Spotlight Again

This is such a wonderful explanation of the feeling of working together. You really don't feel how close you've gotten with the people around you until you don't see them anymore. with a workplace as wonderful as a theatre, how could anyone not miss it?
I found this article really insightful. After all the articles about the frustrations of stagehands and producers, it's somewhat refreshing to hear how the actors were coping with the experience. I really like Kunkel's quote on the entire ordeal as well. It seems that in theatre, whether it's in an educational or professional setting, we can be narrowed into our own concentration without ever understanding another.
I think its great that many actors got involved in the strike. The article isn't exactly clear whether they supported the producers or the stagehands, but just the fact of getting involved, going to meetings and generally educating oneself about the business that you are in is a good thing. Maybe everyone will get back to the table knowing a little more about exactly what is going on with everybody involved in a production.
This is a good side of the story to here, especially after a few too many stories about how the strike was ruining kids Christmases and such. We really didn't get to hear much on the matter of how this was affecting other members of the show too much. I definitely enjoyed reading this story and it was a nice breather from all the commotion still raging between Hollywood and the WGA.
