High schools learn lessons in selecting the spring musical
Were high school musicals always taken this seriously? It seems like in recent years that schools have relied more and more on the musical to not only give kids an educational experiece, but to compete with other schools and to bring recognition to their own. When I was in high school we participated in one of those awards ceremonies and it seemed at the end that it became more about the awards then about the education. Who cares if your Jets can't dance? Isn't it your job as an educator to teach them?
