Ryobi Job Plus Multi-tool Review

Pro Tool Reviews: The Ryobi Job Plus Multi-tool is what I call an “easy decision” purchase. With a retail price of just $69 for the bare tool (including multi-tool attachment), it’s an easy and inexpensive way to get into the Job Plus/Jobmax line. And, yes, all Ryobi Job Plus accessories are compatible with the Ridgid Jobmax Multi tool.

I have used the multi tool head on this tool before and I have to say I was impressed with its performance. I have mixed opinions on Ryobi, while it is not a top of the line tool company and often gets bad ratings and reviews, I think they work pretty well most of the time and for the price they are amazing. With the JobPlus system you can get a multi tool, drill, impact driver, and jig saw for $220. That’s pretty incredible but I don’t think most people (other than homeowners (not even DIYers)) would solely rely on the JobPlus for all those tools, they would have a separate drill and jigsaw. What I still don’t understand is the relationship between Ryobi and Ridgid. I know they are both pretty much only sold at Home Depot but they have been around and doing other things before they were sold at Home Depot (like working for plumbers and being in Europe). Do they have the same parent company now? Is that the same parent company as Home Depot? They often have aspects of their tools that look the same or are interchangeable like the JobMax heads.
